There is a Funeral Home in a nearby town that needed it’s exterior doors refinished. The property manager contacted us last November for us to come evaluate the job. There were spots of bare wood was showing, so we advised to use shallac on them to winter over, and we’ll come in May when the weather is favorable to refinish them on sight.
We started with scraping.
Then we sanded them with 40, 80, and 100 grit sandpaper. After the sanding, we then used spar varnish marine grade polyurethane, 3 coats.
The whole process took a week and a half.
